The Human Concerns Ministry of the Church of Saint Joseph reaches out to individuals and families in need through a variety of service projects throughout the year. Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners, the ministry coordinates meaningful outreach initiatives, including preparing and organizing frozen meals, collecting blankets for those in need, and sponsoring our annual Christmas Giving Tree.
If you are looking for a meaningful way to live your faith and serve others, we invite you to join us. Whether you can volunteer for a single project or become involved on a regular basis, your time and talents can make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.
Together, we strive to be the hands and feet of Christ, bringing hope, compassion, and practical assistance to our neighbors in need.

Homeless SolutionsVolunteer with usThe Human Concerns ministry warmly invites you to join us in cooking, preparing, and serving a hot meal for residents at Homeless Solutions in Morristown. This is a meaningful service experience, and St. Joe's has been actively volunteering there for many years.
When: Every third Sunday of the month, approximately from 3:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
Who: We need 2 or 3 volunteers, and we ask that children be at least 14 years old.
Servings: We typically serve around 40-60 individuals cafeteria-style, including adults and families. During winter, this number can increase to 75-80.

Father English CenterFood pantry donationsThe Father English Food Pantry in Paterson continues to need your help to feed the hungry. Food donation bins are located in the west entrance of the Church and can be made Monday through Fridays, 9:00 AM until 2:30 PM and after all Masses Saturdays and Sundays.
Only non-perishable food goods can be accepted.

Food Pantry ProjectPrepared meals for needy familiesTwice a year, our Human Concerns Ministry organizes the Food Pantry Project to support the Father English Food Pantry in Paterson, our Covenant partner that serves between 16,000 and 20,000 people each month.
Through this parish-wide effort, parishioners prepare nutritious, home-cooked meals that are delivered to the pantry to help feed families in need. Foil pans, simple recipes, and instructions are distributed after all weekend Masses, making it easy for everyone to participate. Prepared meals are then collected the following weekend and delivered to the Father English Center.
The Food Pantry Project is a simple and meaningful way for our parish community to come together in service and compassion for our neighbors in need.
