The Human Concerns Ministry of the Church of Saint Joseph reaches out to individuals and families in need through a variety of service projects throughout the year. Thanks to the generosity of our parishioners, the ministry coordinates meaningful outreach initiatives, including preparing and organizing frozen meals, collecting blankets for those in need, and sponsoring our annual Christmas Giving Tree.
If you are looking for a meaningful way to live your faith and serve others, we invite you to join us. Whether you can volunteer for a single project or become involved on a regular basis, your time and talents can make a real difference in the lives of those we serve.
Together, we strive to be the hands and feet of Christ, bringing hope, compassion, and practical assistance to our neighbors in need.

Sept. 12-13Family Promise Collection Fall Collection
St. Joseph’s Parish will have its annual Family Promise Collection on the weekend of September 12-13 after all Masses. Bins will be available that weekend in the Narthex and West Entrance for your donations.Items Needed:
Bedding (high need):- NEW Full sheets & comforter
- NEW Queen sheets & comforters
Household Cleaning Products:- All-purpose liquid & spray cleaners
- Dish soap Laundry pods
- Paper towels
- Toilet paper
Toiletries:- Women’s & men’s deodorant
- Shaving cream
- Tissues
- Diapers – larger sizes and pull ups
- Baby Wipes
Gift Cards:- Gas Cards
- Wal-Mart Gift Cards
- Shop Rite Gift Cards
About Family Promise
Family Promise of Morris County transforms the lives of families and individuals by serving the community through all stages of life to prevent or end homelessness or housing insecurity.
Family Promise of Morris County has grown over more than 30 years from a single shelter program to nearly ten programs supporting families and individuals through shelter, housing, rapid rehousing, diversion, and outreach. Its programs continue to evolve to address the community’s changing needs and improve housing, economic, health, and wellness outcomes throughout Morris County.
Family Promise’s also works with Our Promise Outreach Center, based at the First Baptist Church of Morristown.
The Outreach Program serves people who are chronically or temporarily homeless, veterans, people transitioning from jails and hospitals, youth, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those who are precariously housed.
The center provides phone and computer access, a mailing address, restrooms, a warming and cooling center, information and referrals, connections to medical, mental health, and dental services, case management, systems advocacy, and more.Questions?
