Every year our teens and chaperones travel to Kentucky to build/repair homes for the working poor. The trip allows the group to foster relationships and grow spiritually in our mission to care for others and develop a feeling of community within our parish.
Fundraisers are held during the year to help cover the cost of travel and food for the participants.
This year’s trip will take place from June 21–27 and is open to students in grades 10–12.
This Year's Projects
This year, our volunteers will be working on five projects that will make a meaningful difference in the lives of local families:
Project 1: Convert a porch into a bedroom for a large family.
Project 2: Repair a home that has suffered significant damage from a leaking roof.
Project 3: Install flooring in the first home of a family of six, helping make it safe and comfortable.
Project 4: Build an additional bedroom so that every child in the family has a space they can call their own.
Project 5: Repair a roof, replace siding, address sagging floors, and complete other critical repairs to improve a family's living conditions.
We are grateful for the opportunity to put our faith into action through service. Please keep our mission team, the families we will be serving, and all those involved in your prayers throughout the week.
Thank you for your generous support and prayers. We can't wait to get started!
